I am Cameron Wright-Hairston. I was born and raised in Rockingham, NC. I am a wife of 9 years and mother to 3 amazing and active children. I have devoted myself to serving older adults in many capacities over the course of my career. At the age of 14 I found my passion as a caregiver when I volunteered as a candy striper at First Health Memorial Hospital. I am a 2011 graduate of Winston Salem State University. With my education in Gerontology and Health Care Administration, I have helped build several thriving companies across the state. In 2014 I founded the Willie Wright Adult Day Center in honor of my grandfather. I have spent my entire career working with older adults and learning the different facets of the aging process.
Upon returning back to Rockingham in 2014, I have volunteered with several organizations including our local parks and recreation as a coach. I have assisted with implementing and operating several successful companies that are in healthcare, as well as serving our youth. I love my city so much I moved my family here and have worked ever since to assist in moving Rockingham forward through being a voice for older adults, and creating programs to teach our young student athletes the importance of being a student first. I am confident that my education, life experiences as well as my business experience gives me a keen insight into our city.
I look forward to hearing from you. I want to know what you feel is working as well as what you feel areas of improvement are. Together, we will work towards moving Rockingham forward. I would love the opportunity to serve you as a member of the Rockingham City Council. On November 5th, I hope I can count on your vote.
